Donuts with Grown-Ups: Best Monday of the Month!
It was a beautiful fall day on Monday, and we had a great turnout of grandparents and other family members who came to spend time with our Pre-K through 5th grade students at our annual Donuts with Grown-Ups.
We kicked things off by introducing our teachers, then prayed our morning prayers and said the Pledge of Allegiance together with our guests, right alongside the students. After that, everyone settled in for donuts and coffee.
We also used the morning as a chance to invite grandparents and guests to get more involved at Bishop Baragaβ signing up for our e-newsletter, The Eagle Bulletin, and learning about volunteer opportunities.
This is one of our favorite mornings of the year. It's a reminder that our students have a whole crew in their corner β not just parents, but grandparents who never miss a game and neighbors who've known them since they were babies. Getting to bring these important grown ups into school, even for an hour, is pretty special.
Thanks to everyone who carved out time on a Monday morning to be here.
