Back on the Course: Annual Cheboygan Catholic Alumni Golf Scramble
On Saturday, September 19, alumni, families, and friends of Bishop Baraga gathered at Cheboygan Golf & Country Club for the annual Cheboygan Catholic Alumni Golf Scramble. It was a great day of golf, fellowship, and support for BBCS, with proceeds from the event benefiting our school.
A Great Day on the Course
Twelve teams teed off at 10 a.m. for a day of friendly competition. Following golf, everyone gathered for lunch with Fr. Duane leading a prayer beforehand. After lunch, Dr. Greiffendorf shared an update about the school before prizes and awards were announced.

Making the Scramble Happen
This event wouldn’t be possible without the people who generously give their time to organize it each year. Roy Schryer led the scramble with the help of a dedicated committee, while Cheboygan Golf & Country Club provided the facilities and Olwyn Hancock gave a great deal of time at the course to help coordinate the event.
We’re also grateful to our day-of volunteers: Ms. Brenda, Mrs. Franz, Ms. Gabby, and Dr. Greiffendorf from Bishop Baraga’s staff; Gregg Scheele; Theresa Loehne; and the Burrell family, who also took care of the food.
