SCRIP Program

What is SCRIP?
The SCRIP program allows families to earn money towards tuition through the purchase of gift cards. Here is an example of how it works:

1.You pay $100 for a Wal-Mart gift card, worth $100 (there is NO extra cost to you).
2.Wal-Mart donates 2% ($2.00) of the cost back to Bishop Baraga School.
3.The school donates 80% ($1.60)of this rebate back to you as a tuition credit.

Currently, there are almost 700 retailers, nationwide, that participate in the SCRIP program. Whether you are buying gas, groceries or gifts, there is a card available to meet your needs. Each retailer sets its own rebate percentage and some are as high as 15%-20%. That can mean substantial tuition savings to you if you are a regular SCRIP user. We encourage you to join the program – why pass up the chance at FREE MONEY!

Want to join the SCRIP committee?
Like many of our programs here at Bishop Baraga, SCRIP depends on the efforts of our dedicated volunteers. But we cannot stress enough, the Scrip Committee is not an exclusive group. We'd be glad to have you join our team--whether you dive right in or just dip your toe in the water, there's always something to do, and we're always happy to have assistance. Please contact Molly Mousseau or Diane Smith for more information on how you can help! What could be more rewarding than helping families get FREE money?
