Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteers benefit our school in a number of
ways, including improving school climate,
student learning, and providing examples of
charity and service for students. Volunteerism
is a necessity so that we may continue to
offer the variety of quality programs that benefit
your children. Our volunteer program is
structured around a “Volunteer Contract” that
we ask each of our families to sign. Twice a
year (during the first week of school and again
during spring registration), we will provide our
families with a list of specific volunteer tasks
that we need assistance with. Parents are
asked to select one or more tasks that they
would be willing to help with. Each family is
also required to sign a “Volunteer Contract”
that indicates their commitment to help with
their selected tasks.
We have a large variety of volunteer tasks for parents to select from, including some that can
be done during the summer or from home. A list of these tasks, along with a description of the
job and its timeframe, is sent home to each family so they can select which activities would
work best with their family's schedule.
For parents wishing to work with the students in a school atmosphere, each is required by the
Diocese of Gaylord to complete the SAFE Environment Program. All volunteers working with
students at least 8 hours a month are required to complete the "Shield the Vulnerable" course
(either in person or on-line). A background check and fingerprint scan are also required to
ensure the safety of our students. For more details on the program and the necessary forms,
