Thanks to the generosity of the Diocese, our parishioners, and our Baraga families, in the fall of 2005 Bishop Baraga Catholic School moved into a brand new building on West Lincoln Avenue. Construction of a new school allowed us to increase the size of our classrooms while also providing facilities to help support our academic goals, such as a new library, computer room and chapel. If you would like to visit the school or learn more about our facilities, please call the school office and set up a tour.
Playground & Sports Field – Directly behind the school building is our recess area. The students have access to a variety of playground equipment, as well as a soccer field and sledding hill.
Computer Room – The school includes a spacious computer room with 22 work stations and one network server. The room is also equipped with scanners and electronic media designed for technology instruction. Each classroom also has 2 to 4 computers for student use. The classroom computers have age-appropriate software available, as well as video, scanning and electronic media used to supplement daily instruction.
Gym / Lunch Area – Centrally located within the school is a full-size gymnasium that also serves as the school's lunch area. Students use the gym to participate in regular physical education classes and as a recess area during inclement weather.
Library – Our library features a computerized card catalog, allowing teachers to research relevant books from their classroom computers. Each student visits the library weekly to check out books.
Chapel – We are blessed to have a beautiful chapel within our new school. This gathering area is used often by the students and faculty for our weekly Masses, school assemblies, and other large activities.
Classrooms - Our large, bright classrooms allow ample space not only for desks, but for other multiuse areas as well.
