Guardian Angel Program |
Many families strive to send their children to Catholic school. Some families, however, are faced with financial difficulties today and are unable to afford such an education for their children. The Guardian Angel program is a financial aid/scholarship program that has been initiated by friends and parishioners who wish to help deserving students attend Bishop Baraga Catholic School. The program benefits students who might otherwise be unable to afford a Catholic education. Administered directly by the school, the funds will be collected by the Guardian Angel program and a significant part of the tuition cost will be subsidized for active school families who demonstrate some financial need. |
Donations to the Guardian Angel fund are tax deductible when given without a specifically named family receiving this service. When donors state specific families, that family must go through the paperwork required to receive funds to supplement their tuition payments. This donation is no longer tax deductible because the family will receive a service (“an education”) from Bishop Baraga Catholic School.
