What is a Strategic Plan?
Over the past few months, volunteers throughout the Bishop Baraga community have been working to develop a Strategic Plan for the school. A Strategic Plan is a document that identifies an organization's key values, highlights its current strengths and acknowledges opportunities for improvement. It provides a clear vision for the next 3 years and outlines the strategies and tasks that must be completed for us to realize this vision.
How was this plan developed?
To help facilitate this process, the school contracted with Jennifer Booher of True North Consulting & Grant Writing Services, L.L.C. Jen and her co-worker Lynn Jenks helped plan and facilitate a half-day planning session this past June. Attendees included representatives from key stakeholder groups including parents, staff, administrators, parishioners and long-term community supporters. A neutral, objective planning process was used to allow for all voices to be heard and consensus to be reached on

and Lynn created a Strategic Plan for Bishop Baraga, which was then reviewed and accepted
by all the attendees.
What do we do with the plan now?
As with any plan, it is only an effective tool if its ideas are implemented. To assist with that effort, a Strategic Planning Committee was formed with 7 volunteers, including parents, teachers and parish representatives. Their role will be to help direct the implementation of the strategies identified within the plan.
